Campers
Arizona children ages 7-17 who have congenital heart defects are encouraged to experience a week at camp with us. Camp is held in Prescott, AZ, during the first week of June each summer. Registration is now open. A link to register is provided above and on our social media pages.
Camper eligibility is determined by your child's cardiologist and approval by the camp medical director. The camp directors and your child’s cardiologist can help you determine whether your child is ready to attend camp. If your child is not quite ready for 5 days at camp, we do have a First Time Camper Day in which the camper and family can visit us at camp.
Charter bus transportation is available from Tempe to camp and back.

Counselors
Volunteers should be in good physical shape to keep up with our heart kids! Volunteers provide their own transportation to Prescott, but we do offer carpool connections. Must be at least 19 years of age and pass a background check. Counselors are responsible for 6-8 campers per cabin. Registration is currently open and interviews will be scheduled for new applicants. Recent Camp Grads will also be interviewed and if selected, will be assigned as a Counselor in Training. This role is to assist co-counselors in all aspects of camp life.
The week you spend at camp is guaranteed to be the most rewarding experience that you can have.
Many of our counselors attended camp as kids and hold a wealth of knowledge about life at heart camp.

Medical staff
We are always in need of Nurses and welcome new Cardiologists to join us. If you can't spend the week with us, we can make arrangements that may fit your schedule. Nurses need not have cardiac experience.
Cabin nurses manage the health of their assigned campers and distribute camper medications. Our infirmary is staffed with medical personnel 24 hours per day.
